Robert Emmets Cul Camp took place from the 12th–16th July. It started with a misty Monday morning registration and a few prayers that the heavy rain would stay away. It was great to see the familiar faces and some new ones too, all eager to learn Gaelic football and have some fun. Thankfully, the rain stayed away and everyone had a great first day.
The weather improved as the week went on and so did the kids skills. It was great to see them all making friends and learning Gaelic football.
By the end of the week the weather had greatly improved with temperatures in the early 20s. So the usual water fight took place with each pod having a water fight among themselves and their coaches.
To top off the week everyone received an ice pop from Supervalu, Walkinstown. These went down a treat in the hot summer sun.
We would like to say a big thank you to Ken our GPO, the coaches, and minor ladies and mens players that helped out. Thanks to everyone that set the camp up every morning and tidied away every afternoon. Our Cul Camp could not have taken place or be as good as it was without your help and support.
